X-ray and lab draws in the same visit

Many sick visits need a test to get a clear answer. The office has on-site X-ray for possible fractures, sprains and chest concerns such as pneumonia, and draws labs in the office, with samples processed by LabCorp. That means fewer trips to an imaging center or an outside lab before you get a diagnosis.

New to the practice? Establish care at the same visit

You do not need to be an existing patient. If you are new to Cheyenne, lost your last doctor, or have been waiting months to get into a practice, your same-day visit can also be the start of your care here. Your provider can review your history, look over your medications, order labs and set up follow-up care. Read more on our new patient page, or in our article on same-day appointments and establishing care.

Same-day visit or urgent care?

Urgent care is a good option on evenings and weekends. During office hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), a same-day visit with your own family practice has real advantages:

  • Your provider sees your full history, medications and past results
  • Follow-up happens in the same office, with the same team
  • Prescriptions, refills and referrals are handled by the practice that keeps managing your care
  • Ongoing conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure are considered in your treatment

When to call 911 or go to the emergency room

Do not wait for an office appointment if you have:

  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Signs of a stroke, such as face drooping, arm weakness or trouble speaking
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Major trauma or severe, uncontrolled bleeding

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
